Where Atatürk Müzesi Is
Bursa Atatürk Evi Müzesi is at Çekirge Mahallesi, Çekirge Caddesi No:77, 16070 Osmangazi, Bursa. It stands on Çekirge Avenue in the city’s Osmangazi district.

What the Historic House Museum Covers
The museum occupies a mansion believed to have been built in the late 19th century. The building has two floors, apart from its basement and attic, and its rooms preserve the layout of a substantial house.
During Atatürk’s second visit to Bursa, from 20 to 24 January 1923, the municipality bought the house from Miralay Mehmet Bey and presented it to him. Atatürk stayed there on later visits.
After 1938, the municipality sold the mansion to the Turkish Republic Retirement Fund, which transferred its use to the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums on 6 February 1968. It became a museum and opened to visitors on 29 October 1973, the 50th anniversary of the Republic.
On the ground floor, a reception room is to the right of the entrance; a dining room and adjoining rest room are to the left.
Upstairs, the bedroom is on the right and the study is on the left, with access to the greenhouse from the study’s right side. The basement served as the kitchen and service area. Nearly all of the mansion’s furnishings are original objects used by Atatürk.
